Dr. Anna W. Choi is the director of Digital Platform Division and a senior research fellow at Taejae Future Consensus Institute, a non-profit public policy institute in Seoul. In this position, she launches projects developing strategy for fostering citizen participation in policymaking process. Her areas of expertise include digital governance, political innovation and building Web3 ecosystem with diversity and inclusion.
Before joining the Institute, she worked as a journalist for more than 15 years covering economy and business issues. She also hosted a weekly interview program on TV inviting prominent leaders of Korea.
She recently co-authored two books: “Future of Digital Human and Cloud Nation (2021)”, which depicts decentralized future and humans in metaverse; “The Future of Korea after Covid (2020)”, which provides insights on long-term changes, challenges and opportunities related to Covid-19.
Anna holds her MSc in Business Studies from Aston University in England with Chevening scholarship and a PhD in Business specialized in Human Resource Management from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. She has taught at universities in Korea and China, including MyongJi University and Canvard College of Beijing Technology and Business University.
